MSCA General Information

Who may attend the programs?
In line with the philosophy of Best Street Studios the Murrumbidgee School of Creative Arts is open anyone over the age of 16yrs.
Most workshops are designed to cater for creative art practitioners at all skill levels (see Skill Levels); however some workshops are restricted to specific levels.  Each workshop clearly notes the level restrictions.

Skill Levels
Each workshop caters to a specific level of skill; many of the workshops cater for multi skill levels within the workshops.

Beginner is a participant who is new to the medium or may have little or no experience in the medium.

Intermediate describes someone who has some experience with the medium but looking to learn new techniques and try new materials

Advanced participant describes someone who has been practicing the medium for an extended period of time and is confident with techniques and materials

Tutors
MSCA tutors are selected from throughout Australia to allow regional artists to explore their creativity and learn fresh new ideas. They are practising artists and tutors who excel in their art. Our tutors are selected in good faith; should their teaching methods or expertise vary from expectation, no claims from participants will be considered.

Catering
During the school there will be permanent tea and coffee stations set up for participant’s convenience. Whilst there are no scheduled morning or afternoon tea breaks participants are encouraged to take breaks throughout the morning and afternoon at their leisure.
Participants must supply their own lunch on a daily basis or purchase it from one of the many nearby cafes.

Workshop Materials
Participants are required to supply their own art/artcraft materials for their chosen workshop. Click Here to view and download material lists for workshops

Cancellations and Refunds

In the event that a workshop is cancelled by MSCA, and the participant does not wish to enrol in another, a full refund of fees paid will be granted.

Participants wishing to switch workshops may do so at any time up until 3 weeks prior to commencement. This request must be received in writing. A switching fee of $25 is applicable.

Participants who cancel or withdraw from a workshop prior to commencement will receive a refund of fees paid, minus the Non Refundable payments incurred (refer to payment system above). Please notify in writing to receive a refund.

No refunds will be given for withdrawals or cancellations once the workshop has commenced.

Code of Conduct
All participants and tutors who attend the MSCA are bound to a Code of Conduct which will be forwarded with your workshop information. Any serious breach of the code will result in expulsion from the workshop without refund of fees.

Disclaimer
MSCA reserves the right to alter details of any workshop should illness or emergency prevent a tutor from teaching. In such circumstances, we would endeavour to provide a substitute of equal standing. Should a workshop have to be cancelled due to very low enrolments, any participant enrolled on that workshop would be contacted and an alternative workshop option or refund arranged.
MSCA retains the right not to accept a participants enrolment if it deems to be unsuitable for a workshop or whose presence may detract from the enjoyment of others.
